During the dark years in limbo waiting for something, anything to happen with my Permanent Resident application, and when things finally started happening (and going horribly awry), my hubsand and I frequently swore that some day, I would write about it, get our tale of horror and woe and governmental incompetence out there. But, only after I was safely in possession of the oh-so-coveted Green Card that everyone outside the USA apparently hankers after. So here we are.
